If in your town somebody rides in a limo, odds are it would turn heads – at least a couple of them. In Las Vegas, a limo is just like a…. private bus. There are limos everywhere. Don’t think of it as a luxury, think of it as a cab that can carry a lot of people in comfort. Yet at the same time, it’s not more expensive than taking a cab. Limos have always been the fad of Las Vegas. Nothing beats riding up to a casino in a fancy long Humvie with a hot-tub in the back – ten years ago.
It’s funny how if you take a cab, it might cost you $20 to get from point A to B on the Strip – and how you can get a limo for $20 per hour + fuel expenses. Say you are with 7 friends, making 8 people total. You can either order several cabs – which will cost you a lot, or a mini-van cab – that just won’t do with the fancy casino arrival. An average limo can have 5 to 8 people in the back with no problem. And all of them will be able to get drunk from the minibar and then some.
As with everything else, limo rentals is a very competitive business and some people would rather earn less money driving you around, than earn nothing at all waiting for customers. So if you’re a good negotiator, you can get a limo for $20 per hour. Add a bit more, and you can get yourself a brand new pimped out with a hot-tub and inflatable girls SUV-ish limo that might actually turn couple of heads. But if you rent a limo, I think it’s because you want to enjoy yourself, rather than show off. But it’s up to you. Personally, I like the mini-bar and that you can get a lot of girls in there with you. Nothing beats walking out of a limo surrounded by hot – and drunk – girls all around you. That’s what Vegas is all about!
